For emergency departments, ED physicians and their coders, we offer two training sessions that will help your physicians achieve optimum reimbursement.
Fundamentals of ED Coding and Documentation
This in-service has helped physicians and coders understand the documentation guidelines that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the American Medical Association (AMA) have developed. This presentation will explain:
the ED E&M services and their components
- documenting Critical Care services
- documentation of procedures performed in the ED
This in-service usually lasts approximately 2-3 hours depending on attendance and participation.
Emergency Physician Coding & Documentation Workshop
This session is a full day jam packed with anything and everything that coders and physicians need to know about coding and documentation for emergency physician services. From coders and physicians that have little or no experience with emergency coding to staff members that have been in the field for years, this presentation is something that everyone will find beneficial.
